Meet Eleanor
I’m Eleanor - a mother, midwife, and antenatal educator.
After several years working as a midwife in a busy London hospital, I’ve recently moved back to Somerset, where I grew up, to raise my daughter closer to family and community.
Over the past six years, I’ve supported women and families across all areas of maternity care - from antenatal clinics and postnatal wards to labour wards, obstetric theatres, birth centres, and home births. Most recently, I’ve been part of a small team offering continuity of care, supporting women from their first appointment right through to the weeks after birth. Witnessing the difference that continuity, trust, and education can make to a family’s experience has been the greatest privilege of my career.
Sadly, within the current maternity system, many families will rarely see the same midwife twice - meaning that this trusted, consistent care is often hard to come by. Through Mindful Bump, my aim is to bring that same sense of continuity and connection to families in a setting that allows for deeper learning, confidence, and genuine preparation.
Whether you’re planning a home birth, a labour ward delivery, or an elective caesarean, I’ll support you with warmth, evidence-based information, and respect for your individual choices. I believe that every family deserves to feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their journey - never just “taken along for the ride.”
I teach with empathy, honesty, and openness - creating space for real conversations, practical learning, and a sense of calm confidence as you prepare to meet your baby. More than just your educator, I’ll be a familiar, trusted face throughout your pregnancy and beyond.
